Cole and Son
Cole & Son was founded in 1873 by John Perry, a vicar’s son from Cambridgeshire. The eponymously named John Perry Ltd was originally situated in a wallpaper mill in North London - back in the 18th and 19th centuries, Islington was an area famous for the hundreds of hand block printing companies based there. Today, Cole & Son’s factory is in Haringey, just a few miles north of the original site. Following Mr Perry’s death in 1941, the company became Cole & Hill and later, Cole & Son Ltd. Cole & Son has provided wallpapers for many historic houses, including Buckingham Palace and the White House. Designer Wallpapers is proud to present some of the company’s finest collections.
