Inspired by the opera of the same name by Alfredo Catalani (1890), this wall-covering uses the antique “fil posé” technique—elevated here by the infusion of genuine silk threads. The effect is rare and luxurious.
The design draws from a macro-scale reinterpretation of an ikat effect, blending fluid, watery reflections and dream-like motifs that evoke the myth of a girl transformed into a fairy by a river. Colour gradations range from vivid to pastel, and from soft neutrals to ethereal tones, creating an oneiric atmosphere.
